Before you decide to go trekking on Kilimanjaro or other mountains, be sure that you are totally fit. A trip up to the summit of Kilimanjaro is not really difficult but should not be underestimated. It's very important to know that every human being can have problems with altitude sickness and might experience other problems. Be sure that you are mentally and physically prepared and contact your doctor to exclude any health risks doing a medical check-up before you start your tour.
The way up to the summit can be very cold and partly frozen. You need really warm and windproof clothes to have an enjoyable tour. In case of an emergency the tour stops for you and you return directly back to the park gate.
Our crew consist of a professional guide, an assistant guide, cooks and porters. Our guides speak English, some of them also French and German. Let us know your favourite language and we provide you with the right guide team.
We spend the nights in camps, on some routes in huts. There are only simple sanitary facilities, sometimes with a toilet tent but mostly nothing.
Your personal backpack (limited to 15 kg) will be carried by a porter from campsite to campsite. You only have to carry your own daypack, filled with the things you personally need for the day.
You sleep in mountain tents on a warm mattress and in sleeping bags. We provide you with camping chairs, tables and camping lamps during dinner.
The cook prepares three meals per day for you and can cook local and international dishes.
