Day 1
We will pick you up from the Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer you to Arusha. It will take almost 1 hour to drive. Dinner and accomodation will be in the lodge in Arusha. We will give you all informations about your holiday trough your driver and guide there.
Day 2
After breakfast at the lodge we drive to Tarangire national park. This takes approximately 90 minutes. After lunch we start our first game drive from the afternoon until the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite or lodge.
Day 3
After a morning game drive in Tarangire national park we return for breakfast at the campsite or lodge. Then we drive to Lake Manyara national park. After a small rest we will go on an afternoon game drive in Lake Mayara national park. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite or lodge.
Day 4
After the breakfast we will spend half a day in Lake Manyara national park. We will have lunch at the picnic place inside the park. In the afternoon we have time to visit the maasai market in Mto wa Mbu. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite or lodge.
Day 5
After breakfast we head up North this morning, crossing the Massai steppe and descending gradually into the great rift valley. We wend our way along the western wall of the escarpment until finally get our first glimpse at Lake Natron, a view made more extraordinary by the sprawing lunar landscape that surrounds it. Our campsite will be at the foot of the escarpment, just a short way from Lake Natron, an ideal location for taking short hikes or walks to the water fall. We undertake a short hike to the water fall and see some animals on the way to the water fall, go and return can take 2 hours, dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite.
Day 6
After breakfast we visit the Massai Boma. There you can discover the real life of Massai, then we drive to Lake Natron, where we go for a hike or walk around the lake. We can discover flamingos and others birds, our walk continues until we reach the village where we can join our car back to the campsite for lunch. After lunch we pick up our stuff. This afternoon we head up the steep western wall of the rift Valley by a series of switch backs. After gaining 2000 feet in altitude, we finally reach the rim of the escarpment and we are rewarded with a view of the sweeping Salai Plains to the south of Lake Natron directly below us on the Valley floor. Here we set up the tents just for one night on the way to the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite or hotel in Wasso.
Day 7
After breakfast we head directly into Serengeti national park. We have a full day game drive inside the park. We take our lunch with us to have it at the picnic site. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite or lodge.
Day 8
After breakfast we continue our game drive for the full day. For the lunch and at the end of the day we drive back to the campsite or lodge, wher we also have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 9
Early in the morning after breakfast we depart for the Serengeti. We reach the Ngorongoro Crater at around 9.00 am and we descend into the crater for a full game drive. We explore the soda lakes, acacia forests and open plains of the crater floor. We take lunch at the picnic site with lunch boxes. In the afternoon we drive to Karatu for dinner and stay overnight at the campsite or lodge.
Day 10
We drive from Karatu to Lake Eyasi. We arrive in the early afternoon. After lunch we go to visit different tribes and also go to a village to visit the fishermen. Later we go to the lake. The lake is full of birds. There you can have time near the lake waiting for sunset, walking around the lake before we return to the campsite or lodge for dinner and accommodation.
Day 11
In the morning we go for a hunt with another tribe called bushmen. These are the same bushmen like those from South of Africa. We spend almost three hours in the forest with this tribe, where you will see different types of trees and landscapes, also with a great view. Afterwards we return for lunch and then pick up our stuff ready to leave the Lake Eyasi and go to Mto wa Mbu to stay overnight at the campsite or lodge.
Day 12
After breakfast a local guide will take you for the memorable village tour. This will give you the chance to experience the culture and region around the Mto wa Mbu village. The village offers us a traditional lunch and we will get the chance to taste one of the best local beers made from bananas. After lunch we will visit one of the Massai markets for shopping. Here you have a chance to mix with local people at the markets, bars and shops to experience the daily life of the local people around Mto wa Mbu. In the afternoon we transfer you to Arusha for following programs or to Kilimanjaro airport.
